I am deeply concerned by news that Robbie Katter plans to introduce a private member's bill to repeal or amend Queensland's Termination of Pregnancy Act 2018.

I know that issues of abortion are generally treated as a personal "conscience" vote, I therefore want to know your personal position on this issue before I cast my vote, and urge you to go on the public record about your position.

I believe that we all deserve the right to make decisions about our own healthcare, and whether and when we become parents.

I know that the Termination of Pregnancy Act 2018 decriminalised abortion in Queensland; finally recognising it as healthcare. I know that the framework it put in place was recommended by independent experts at the Queensland Law Reform Commission after extensive consultation and consideration of expert advice.
